Rev. Dr. David Kim
President & Lead Pastor at Glocal Mission
Dr. Kim was born in South Korea. He was a missionary and church planter in Ecuador between 1989 and 2001 before coming to the USA. In 2000, he met his wife Juhee in S. Korea and married to her in Ecuador in 2001. He is currently serving as president and lead pastor at Glocal Mission based in Houston, TX. The vision of Glocal Mission is to raise up one million disciple makers for the task of the Great Commission in USA and around the world by 2031. Under his leadership, more than 50 churches being planted in USA and around the world and thousands of pastors and leaders are being trained in places like Honduras, Ecuador, S. Korea, India, China, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Costa Rica, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Mexico, USA, and many others. From 2007 to 2016 (Sep), for 9 years, he served as Mission Director at LINC Houston. He has been serving for over 7 years at the Board of Mission Administration for TX District of LC-MS. Dr. Kim also serves as adjunct professor at Concordia University Irvine, CA and Concordia Seminary St Louis, MO.
Rev. David Wray
At the age of twenty, David became part of a church planting team that started 5 churches along the west coast of Mexico during a ten year period. He joined our team in February 2014 to develop training material for church planters and leaders, coordinate training retreats and boot camps, and recruit and work with new church planters. David, his wife Elvia, and two children also work with students at his home church in South East Houston.
Mily is from Venezuela with a passion for the global church, worship, and marketing. She joined our team in Fall 2017 to help us with the web development and all the IBGM digital and printed resourses.
Mission Coordinator for Washington Metro DC, VA area.Moy is passionate about ministering among the youth, homeless, Hispanics, and Muslims as well as leading people into Metro area mission engagement and taking mission trips to China, Haiti, and Turkey.
Rev. Nelson Hernandez
Nelson was born in El Salvador and is a graduate of Concordia Seminary. Before planting Iglesia Cristiana Emanuel, with his wife Kenny, and their daughter in Houston, he served as a church planter in Virginia for 7 years. Nelson is also a Catalyst Leader and trains Spanish speaking pastors.
Buddy graduated from the University of Houston in December of 2017 with a B.A. in Interpersonal Communications. He completed two short term mission trips to Mexico before completing a five month Discipleship Training School, which included a 2 month mission trip to Southeast Asia. Buddy will be joining Glocal to organize short term missions teams domestically and internationally, build the local church, and reach the nations right here in our city and beyond! Buddy will also be enrolling in Concordia University in the spring of 2019 to begin his coursework for a Masters of Theology.
