SEEK. DISCIPLE. MULTIPLY.
WHY WE COMMIT TO THE GREAT COMMISSION
We believe that the Great Commission is much more than a suggestion or simply an option. It is God’s mandate to SEEK the lost, DISCIPLE the found, and to MULTIPLY holistic disciple makers and churches both locally and globally. This is an urgent and primary task given to the whole church to carry out by all means possible empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Our mandate is to multiply disciple makers and churches. This simply means that we invest our time, energy, and resources into those who are fully committed to making and multiplying disciples and to plant churches committed to planting additional churches.
WHAT IS A DISCIPLE?
A disciple is a person who knows who Jesus is and what He did, imitates Jesus’ life, and obeys the things Jesus commanded us to do. A disciple grows holistically in the areas of their HEAD, HEART, HANDS, and HABITS.
5 Marks of a Catalyst Disciple-Maker
Train leaders and churches to prioritize making disciples and planting churches that multiply.
Train leaders and churches to serve with God’s missional heart to seek the lost and disciple the found locally and globally and to minister intentionally to the nations that are among us and abroad.
Train leaders thoroughly in the areas of Head (Information, Believe), Heart (Formation, Be), Hands (Transformation, Behave), and Habits (Multiplication, Become).
BALANCE EVANGELISM AND DISCIPLESHIP
Fully embrace God’s commission to evangelize and to disciple. Although one’s personal gifting may be more in one area than the other, we should seek to live lives and lead ministries that excels in both areas.
We seek the Lordship of Jesus in our communities by pursuing the Three Missional Outcomes of doing Good – Make a difference; Better – Make relationships; and Best – Make disciples. Disciples and churches increase their effectiveness by pursuing each of these outcomes.
